Can I buy additional prints separate from my package?
Yes in the online viewing gallery there is an option to buy additional prints. You can give your unique login details to family members and they can order too.
What to expect? (newborn)
Newborn session itself is very relaxed and completely baby-led, typically lasting between 2-3 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, settling and comforting your baby. In the studio, we have a beautiful range of props, backdrops and handmade accessories to choose from. You can also choose to bring any items of sentiment, for example, a special teddy, to include in your shoot.
When is the best time to photograph a newborn baby?
The best time to photograph a newborn baby is the first two weeks after the birth, whilst they are sleepy and still able to curl up into newborn folds. After this time babies are a little harder to settle, they are more sensitive to touch and things like colic and baby acne can start to flare up on their little faces.
What if my baby doesn't settle for the photos?
Don't worry, we can reschedule for a different date. There will be plenty of time to feed and change your baby.
Booking a session? (newborn)
You can contact me at any time during your pregnancy, ideally after your first scan to give me your due date and secure a spot in my diary. It will be an estimated date which will be adjusted depending on when your baby arrives. As a baby’s arrival date can be unpredictable, it's best to book early to ensure I have the flexibility to photograph a baby around your due date.
When are where do sessions take place? (newborn)
Studio sessions take place in my naturally light home studio in Plymouth Devon. Sessions are booked Monday to Friday from 10:30 (limited Saturday slots available. I only book one session a day to allow time to get those beautiful images, without time pressure.
When will I receive the images?
Three weeks after your session you will receive a link to view your password-protected gallery of approximately 15-25 beautifully edited images for you to view at home at your own pleasure.
How long is a newborn photoshoot?
The newborn photoshoots last around 3 hours.
